Editor's Note: This is the Georgia State Patrol report on Thursday's tragic accident that killed a Dade High student. The Planet publishes it verbatim.
On 10/3/19, at approximately 6:09 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Daniels Road in Dade County. Initial investigation determined vehicle #1 was traveling west on Daniels Road at a high rate of speed attempting to negotiate a curve on a hillcrest. Vehicle #2 was traveling east on Daniels Road attempting to negotiate the same curve. Vehicle #1 traveled across the centerline into the eastbound lane striking vehicle #2 head-on.

Driver- Logan Gordy, 17 YOA of Trenton, Georgia
Front Passenger- Alexis Moore, 17 YOA of Trenton, Georgia (deceased)
Rear Passenger- Chloe Baxley, 17 YOA of Trenton, Georgia
Driver and rear passenger transported to Erlanger
Vehicle #2- 2008 Jeep Commander
Occupants:
Driver- Mapisha Barajas, 36 YOA of Trenton, Georgia
Passenger- Lincoln Barajas, 9 YOA of Trenton, Georgia
Passenger- Harrison Barajas, 7 YOA of Trenton, Georgia
Occupants transported to Erlanger
GSP Post 41-Lafayette along with assistance from the Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is conducting this ongoing investigation.
Charges, if any, are pending the outcome of this investigation.
