This morning, Monday October 21, at approximately 10:15 a.m., Dade County units were dispatched to the 2-mile marker on Interstate 24 West for a single vehicle accident. Dade units arrived on scene and found that the vehicle had rolled over numerous times in the median, and had extensive entrapment of the two occupants inside.
After extrication of the two occupants was completed, it was found that both were deceased. Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident, and what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and crash is currently unknown. The victims should be identified by Georgia State Patrol, once the next of kin has been notified.
