As you may have noted in the news last week, Discovery Travel Blog has named Cloudland Canyon as the best state park in Georgia! What has this got to do with the library? Well, if you would like to visit the state’s best park, or any of Georgia’s state parks, you may check out a park pass at the library, and with that, parking is free at Cloudland Canyon and all Georgia state parks.
We have four passes, so there is usually one available. Let us help you enjoy a free visit to Georgia’s best state park.
Food for Fines! Food for Fines! If you need to clear up some library fines, you can clear up to $10 worth by bringing in canned food. Each can of food equals $1 in fines. Food for Fines goes through November 27.
The library will be closed for the Thanksgiving holidays on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29. We will reopen on Saturday for regular hours from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Saturday, November 30, will be the Grand Illumination here on the square in Veterans Park. The library will be open from 4-7 p.m. that evening and there will be pictures with Santa and more. When it gets dark, all the lights will be turned on.
