Republican Congressman Tom Graves, Dade's voice in the U.S. House of Representatives, announced in a letter to his constituents today that he would not seek reelection in 2020.
If Graves is stepping down in preparation for a move up to some higher political office, his letter gave no indication along those lines. Grave said only that he would spend more time with his family.
Graves served as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives (R-Ranger) before winning a U.S. House seat in 2010.
