Letter to the Editor: Wooten Thanks Expo Participants

Editor's Note: This is an open letter from Nathan Wooten, organizer of the Dade Small Business Expo, which took place on Saturday.

Thank you to EVERYONE who participated in last Saturday’s Small Business EXPO! To the 97 vendors who came out, along with the Dade County community who supported them, we THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS EVENT successful for four consecutive years!

A special THANK YOU to these special people: Food City, Tritex Services, Bottom Dollar Tools, Dex Wooten, Kathleen Reed, Monda Wooten, Uncle Lar's (who provided the awesome food), Mike Philips (who kept the building together while we tried to tear it apart), Dr. Jan Harris, Mr. James Fahrney and Mr. Brent Cooper (who allowed us the use of DCHS), Heather Cochran (certified face painter), Showtime Event Rentals (for the professional setup once again), the awesome Davis Elementary Choir, and the BIG MAN HIMSELF – SANTA CLAUS!

Thank you to all the vendors who came out and invested their time – I hope it was worth it for you!

While many won prizes throughout the day, our big winners of $250 shopping sprees were Margaret Rainey, Cindy Shipley and Lois King! And Heather Cochran won a weekend in Nashville and two tickets to see our famous neighbors – ALABAMA.

Again, thank you Dade County for your support of the EXPO – it has really turned into something special….

Until next year…

--Nathan Wooten
