Volunteer at Canyon for 25th Annual MLK Day of Service

The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Jan. 20, 2020, marks the 25th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the civil rights leader’s life and legacy. This holiday has been designated as a national day of service for Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

The Friends of Cloudland Canyon State Park are honoring this day through a day of service on our trails. Volunteers are needed to help repairing various bridges across the park. Plans include repairing a handrail on West Rim trail, working on Prince Albert bridges and/or replacing blazes on the Sitton's Gulch trail.

Please join us at the Visitors Center (park office) at 8:45 a.m. Work will start at 9 a.m. and continue until noon. Bring a picnic lunch with you and after volunteering feel free to explore the park. There is a $5 park admission fee if you don't have an annual pass.

Cloudland Canyon offers hiking, biking, pond fishing, disc golf, picnicking, camping and Interpretive Center programs. Plan to spend the whole day in the beautiful outdoors!

Cloudland Canyon State Park is located at 122 Cloudland Canyon Park Road in Rising Fawn.
