In this Planet file shot, an unidentified diner enjoys a Margarita on the rocks at Trenton's Tres Amigos. She'll have to drink at home henceforth.
As of 6 p.m. tonight, all Trenton restaurants will offer takeout service only. That change stems from an emergency ordinance Trenton Mayor Alex Case and the city commission passed this afternoon by teleconference to address the ongoing battle against COVID-19.
The ordinance apparently also authorizes certain changes to law enforcement. The Planet has requested information on where to see a copy of the document, which does not yet appear to be online.
Most Trenton and Dade restaurants had in any case gone to to-go only earlier in the coronavirus shutdown. Jefferson's has shut its doors entirely until further notice. The city's ordinance will be in effect until Aril 23 though the mayor specified it can be rescinded earlier if the situation eases.
