Dade Board of Education Personnel List May 18


At its Monday afternoon meeting, the Dade County Board of Education made the following personnel changes for next school year:

It promoted Dr. Jeff Scott from teacher at Dade County High School to assistant principal of the school.

It transferred Lori Gordy from math and science teacher at Davis Elementary to math teacher at DCHS; Ashlie Smith from Dade Middle School math teacher to DCHS math teacher; David Tate from DCHS functional class to DMS ESS (exceptional student services); and Katie Page from DMA ELA (English language arts) teacher, half-time, to DES ELA teacher, full-time.

It approved the following hires:

Karen Kirk as DCHS math teacher; Dalton Green as DCHS agriculture teacher; Catherine Turner as DCHS science teacher; Jodi Benefield as DMS physical education teacher; Christopher Daniel Reyes as custodian at Dade Elementary; and Donal Morris as a substitute teacher.

Finally, it approved 10 nutrition staff members to work 10 to 15 hours a week for the summer meals program May 27 through June 30.
