We have Summer Reading activities for adults at the Dade County Library. Mrs. Marshana has done two Facebook Live cooking classes this month and those are still posted on the Dade County Public Library Facebook page, so get your ingredients and try her Italian soup recipe, then her Blueberry Dumplings for dessert.
We also have our monthly Book Club meeting. Right now we are meeting on Zoom. Our July discussion will be about Where the Crawdads Sing.
Finally, on July 14, Marshana will do a program on building Fairy Houses. Pick up the materials for the Fairy Houses at the library between July 7 and July 14.
Don’t forget our Bounce Back Bingo game. If you haven’t already, come by the library and pick up a card. If you Bingo and turn your card in by July 17, you will be in a drawing for several gift cards.
For our kids’ program, be sure and pick up your craft for our program on July 2, the Magic Mirror Portraits. Mrs. Cristy will be streaming this program on Facebook Live on Thursday, July 2, at 10:30 a.m. But, remember, if you miss it, just find it on our Facebook page and you can watch any time. The touch-free activity this week will be about graffiti art. Come by the library and check that out. Again, if you aren’t coming in to get books, call ahead for curbside service at (706) 657-7857. Keep recording your progress on BeanStack to be eligible for prizes.
On Tuesday, July, there will be a teen program on making Fairy Jars. Look for it on Facebook Live as well. Pick up the materials you need at the library between June 30 and July 7 at 2 p.m.
Some of the prizes offered for our teen and adult programs are a game basket, a cooking basket, a candy basket, a Snow White house, a gift certificate to Chocolatier and one to High Point Gym.
Some of the prize baskets for the kids’ program are a princess basket, a knight basket, a candy basket and an activity basket.
