Dade County Sheriff Ray Cross held a press conference this afternoon to announce that his department this morning arrested Richard Petkoff, 49, in his home at 301 Castle Drive, Trenton, on charges of sexual exploitation of children. Petkoff is being held at the Dade County Jail. Cross’s press release said the charges involved “the distribution of suspected images of child pornography.” According to the press release, this arrest comes as the result of an investigation that began in January and which is ingoing. The release also mentioned the Department of Homeland Security as an agency involved in the investigation.
