Alton Ridley


RISING FAWN, Ga.—Alton Ridley, 80, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016. He and his wife, Brownie, owned and operated Brownie’s Super Market on Lookout Mountain for over 40 years. He was a member of Living Water Church of God.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Brock Ridley and Molly Ellen Ridley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Brownie Ridley; daughters, Pam (Randy) Holt, Rising Fawn; Regina (David) Francis, Signal Mountain, Tenn.; Jacqueline Dawson, Minneapolis, Minn.; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brother, Brocky Ridley, LaFayette, Ga.; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. EDT Saturday, July 9, at the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Hale and Reverend Jimmy Hixon officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, 4-8 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
