TRENTON, Ga.--James Dewey Smith, 64, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2016.
He was a musician and member of Straightway Baptist Church. Dewey was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Smith; parents, Jewel and Manerva Smith; nephews, Kellie Smith and Blake Smith; sister-in-law, Imogene Smith and brother-in-law, Ronnie Smith.
Survivors include his daughters, Renee (Allen) Smith, Tammy (Brett) Bartlett, Naomi (Dave) Jones; son, James Jason (Samy) Smith; sister, Sue Smith; brothers, Pete (Janie) Smith, Brent (Mary Jo) Smith and Jay Merle Smith; seven grandchildren, Cody, Trevor, Brooke, Bailey, Ashley, Emma and Samuel; twin great-grandchildren, Amelia and Hudson; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. EDT Tuesday, Aug. 16, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Brent Smith officiating.
Visitation will be held Monday 4-8 p.m.
