HIGDON, Ala.--Ina E. Whitaker, 83, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Barton Burns Whitaker, and daughter, Peggy Ann Hall.
Survivors include her sons, James Michael Whitaker and Sam Whitaker, both of Shiloh, Ala.; sisters, Georgia Gray, Lookout Mountain, Ga., and Inez Coons, Daytona, Fla.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Charles Smith officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held Sunday 4-9 p.m. and Monday 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
