Burma Plumlee



TRENTON, Ga.--Burma Plumlee, 73, died on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at her home in Trenton. Burma was born on May 13, 1943, to Tom and Mary Shelton. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Bryant, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Jackie Clark and Ruby Reynolds; and her brothers, Paul and Woodrow Shelton.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Billy Plumlee; her three children, Jimmy (Martha), Michael (Gina), and Malinda (David) Davis; her brothers, TJ and Leonard Shelton; and her sisters, Mildred Hollingsworth, Edna Redger, Martha Jones, Darlene Chastain and Tina Bolton. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon EDT Saturday, Sept. 10, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Steve Townson officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held Friday 2-8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-noon.
