FLAT ROCK, Ala.--Bernie Lee Wooden, 92, died Sept. 12, 2016. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Thomas Wooden; parents, Charlie and Bertie Moore; children, J.E. Wooden, Randy Wooden, Betty Sue Bryson, Sandy Renee Hardeman and Louise Gibson; grandson, Brian Corbitt; brothers, Willard Jessie Moore, Bernice Dee Moore and Leslie Earl Moore; and sister, Sarah Beth Kirby.
Mrs. Wooden is survived by her daughters, Bertha Lee Dixon, LaFayette, Ga; Sheila Ann West and Sandra Kay Holland, Flat Rock; sons, Alfred Ray Wooden, Arizona, and David Lynn Wooden, Stevenson, Ala; sister, Evelyn Satterfield, Flat Rock; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Thursday, September 15, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Guess and Rev. Roger Little officiating. Interment will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday 1-8 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
