CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.--William Carl Laney, 86, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2016. He was retired from Combustion Engineering with 38 years of service as a boilermaker. He was a member of Tiftonia Holiness Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Rogers Laney; son, William Carl Laney Jr.; daughter-in-law, Debbie Laney.; brother, Bob Laney; and sister, Clara Mae Potter.
Survivors include his son, Roger Carl Laney, Chattanooga; brother, Buddy Laney, Red Bank, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Garrett ( Lauren) Laney and Jarred (Chelsea) Laney.
Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, September 19, at Tiftonia Holiness Church with Brother Troy Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Brown Gap Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, Ga., and 11 a.m.-noon Monday at Tiftonia Holiness Church.
