Sherman Mathews


NEW SALEM, Ga.--Herbert Sherman Mathews, 46, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, at his residence.

Survivors include his loving companion of 25 years, Donna Price; parents, Herbert and Rachel Parker Mathews; son, Sherman Tyler Mathews, Chattanooga; daughters, Shana (Vincent) Perkins, Trenton, and Heather (Jeff) Nelson, Rising Fawn; brothers, Perry Mathews and Stacy Mathews, both of Rising Fawn; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother David Hale officiating. Burial will be in Ascalon Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
