Edna Moore


NEW SALEM, Ga.-- Edna Mae McKaig Moore, 93 passed away, Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016. She was a homemaker and member of Ascalon Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arvel G. Moore; son, Gary Dale Moore; parents, Drew Grover and Sara Virginia Neal McKaig; sisters, Blanche Romine, Inez Smith and Etta Autry; and brothers, Calvin McKaig, Howard McKaig, Monroe McKaig and Leonard McKaig.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Glenda Moore Blevins, Mary Lois (Charlie) Moore, Donnie Moore Nichols, Connie Moore (John) Rogers and Janice Moore (Dave) Miller; three grandchildren, Jonathan Nichols, Lisa Blevins Winfree and Tony Dixon; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Stan Chambers officiating. Burial will be in Hawkins Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday noon-2 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
