BRYANT, Ala.--Carroll Ray, 76, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at his residence. He had been a carpenter with Carpenter Local #74 and a member of Mercy Temple Church of God.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Elsie Ray, and brother, David Ray.

Survivors include his loving wife, Faye Ray; daughters, Michelle (Linvyl) Case and April (Barry) Nifong; sons, Greg (Christy) Smith, David (Cynthia) Ray, Ricky (Debbie) Ray and Jeffrey (Pam) Ray; sisters, Eloise Rice, Gladys McClain, Lois Ragsdale, Lillie Jackson and Jean Irick; brother, Farrell Ray; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.Sunday, Oct. 2, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Reggie Byrum officiating. Interment will be in Brown Gap Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday 1-8 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
