TRENTON, Ga.--Marchetta H. Estes, 77, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Trenton.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Estes, and parents, Rufus and Ida Hughes.
She is survived by her companion of 22 years, Robert Patton; four sons, Jessie, Rex and Garry Estes, all of Trenton, and Terry (Vickie) Estes of Bryant, Ala.; one adopted son, Lewis (Marilyn) Wright, Zephyrhills, Fla.; six grandchildren, Shereela (Robbie) Parker, Jessica (Bobby) Helton, Nacole Estes, Jazmyne Estes, Sherree (Heath) Farmer and Neil (Bianca) Adams; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne (Nancy) Hughes, Trenton, and Harvey (Rena) Hughes, Ider, Ala.; sisters, Wilma (Shermon) Smith, Brenda (TK), Trenton; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. EDT Sunday, Oct. 9, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Lonnie Denny officiating. Burial will be in Payne’s Gap Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday 4-8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
