RISING FAWN, Ga.--Nellie Mae Hicks, 74, died December 1, 2016. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her son, Freddy Hicks, and parents, Clyde and Dorothy Raines.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Hicks; daughter, Fredia (Eric) Hoffman, Rising Fawn; sons, Eddie (Doris) Hicks, Sand Mountain, Doug (Amie) Hicks, Valley Head, Ala., Ronald Hicks and Donald Hicks, Rising Fawn; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Hicks, Lenia Hicks and Maxie Drew; brother, Frank Raines, Wildwood, Ga.; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. EST Saturday, December 3, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in Whitt Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday 4-8 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
