Leroy Peppers



HAMPTON Ga.--Leroy Morrison Peppers, 76, formerly of Trenton, died Friday, January 13, 2017. He was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of American Legion Post 330 in Hampton and had previously been chaplain of Legion Post 106 in Trenton.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Annie Peppers, and brothers George, Jim, Tom and Jack Peppers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Patsy Peppers; daughter, Ginger (Todd) Richardson, and son, Terry Lee (Jewel) Wallace; brothers Bobby Peppers, John Peppers and Dan Peppers; two grandchildren, Megan Day and Stephen Richardson; three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Anthony and Hunter;and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services with military honors by Post 106 will be held at noon Tuesday, January 17, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Gary Bell and Brother Chris Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday 11 a.m.-noon.

The family received friends Sunday at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Hampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or American Cancer Society.
