Betty Cockrell


WILDWOOD, Ga.--Betty Cockrell, 89, died January 19, 2017. She had worked at Nation Hosiery Mill and for 16 years at Bea’s Restaurant. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Fort Payne, Ala.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda L. Moore; parents, Charles D. and Florence M. White; and brothers, George P. White, Charles R. White and William C. White.

Survivors include her grandson, J. C. Moore; son-in-law, Rev. Terry Gene Moore Sr.; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be held at noon EST Friday, January 27, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Gene Moore Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in White Hall Cemetery on Highway 11 North, Fort Payne.

Visitation will be Friday, January 27, from 10 a.m.-noon EST.
