BRYANT, Ala.--William Carl Stevens Sr., 84, died January 30, 2017. He was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and had worked as a finisher with Salem Carpets for 17 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Alice Jordan Stevens, and brothers, J. C. Stevens and Lynn Stevens.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Shirley Elizabeth Stevens; daughter, Nita Joyce Stevens, Stevenson, Ala.; son, William Carl Stevens, Jr., Winchester, Tenn; three step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild; sisters, Hettie Sartain, Stevenson, and Noni Elizabeth Patterson, Kellyton, Ala.; brother, Glenn Stevens, South Pittsburg, Tenn.; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. EST Thursday, February 2, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Lonnie Denny officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday 4-8 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m. 1 p.m. EST.
