Melvin Ray Veal, 71, of Lookout Mountain, Ga., died Saturday, February 25, 2017. He worked in construction and was a member of M,oore Road Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Ollie Veal, sister, Jean Dabbs and brother, Virlon Veal.
He is survived by his loving wife, Recilla Veal; sons, Terry (Wendy) Veal, Lookout Mountain, and Randall (Stacy) Veal, Robbinsville, N.C.; two grandchildren, Jake Veal and Ashlyn (Jace) Davis; one great-granddaughter, Adilynn Veal; sister, Evelyn Bowden, Lookout Mountain; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1,in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Saint and Brother Steve Eakin officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Tuesday noon-8 p.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
