Henry Wayne Hooper, 66, of Trenton, died March 30, 2017, following complications from lung surgery.

Wayne, an accomplished musician, entertained Chattanooga residents for more than 30 years. Prior to that career, he served with honor in the U.S. Navy, circumnavigating the globe twice during his military tenure.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Glenna Hooper.

He is survived by sons Heath and Justice Hooper; grandson, Oscar; sisters Lanita Sells, Marylyn Blevins and Eileen Stacy; caretaker, Carol Hooper; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A memorial service is planned for Friday, April 7, at Moore Funeral Home. Visitation will be from -5:00 p.m. EDT with service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to local homeless shelters.

Wayne was a good man. He will be missed.
