Virginia Marie Harris, 80, of Trenton, died today, March 31, 2017. She was a homemaker and had worked at Nat’s Florist for several years. Marie enjoyed word search puzzles and the outdoors. She was a member of United Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Harris; parents, Woodrow and Tempie Wooten; sisters, Geraldine Strickland and Sally Wade;
and great-grandson, Cole Harris.
Survivors include her loving family, Peggy Henley, Atlanta, and Jenny Garrison, Lookout Mountain, Georgia; son, Donald Harris, Trenton; sisters, Marilyn Sills, Chattanooga; Joann Taylor, Wanda James and Mary Dowdy, Trenton; brothers, Woodie Wooten, Lookout Mountain, Georgia, Bobby Wooten, John Wooten, Freddie Wooten and Eddie Wooten, Bryant, Alabama; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be at noon Monday, April 3, at Lakewood Gardens West Cemetery with Brother Ricky Crabtree officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday noon-8 p.m. and Monday 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Moore Funeral Home.
