Ida Belle Davidson



Ida Belle Davidson, 91, of Trenton, died on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. She was born on December 31, 1925, in Canton, Ohio, and was a member of Sand Mountain United Methodist Church. Mrs. Davidson achieved a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. She taught at Davis School for over 30 years and retired from the Dade County school system.

Mrs. Davidson is preceded in death by her parents, John H. “Dutton” Davis and Mae Crisp Davis; brothers, Charles H. Davis and James Dudley Davis; sister, Clara Bea Rice; and son-in-law Carnell Galloway.

Surviving include her son John (Linda) Davidson; daughter, Mayiris Galloway; daughter, Pam (Gene) Cleckler; grandchildren, Clay (Cindy) Galloway, Regina (Mitchell) Moore, Rhonda (Mason) Bradford, Michael (Anne) Long, Alyssa (Corey) Poole; several step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren Harley and Dallas Galloway, Conner, Kayden and Kayci Moore, Stryder and Lakelynn Bradford, Parker and Ella Long, Grayson Poole; and great-great-grandson Harper Galloway-Dean.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 7, in the chapel with Rev. Jimmy Hixon and Rev. Wayne Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Brown’s Gap Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton.
