Caleb Coates

Caleb Hugh Coates, 29, of Trenton, died Tuesday April 11, 2017 at his residence. He was a 2006 graduate of Dade County High School and had been employed as an electrician. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice L. West Coates and grandparents Hugh C. and Lazell Coates and Oscar and Helen West.

Surviving include his father, Hugh C. “Sonny” Coates, Jr. of Trenton; sister, Mistie Lea (Lucas) Asher of Fort Oglethorpe; uncle Tom Coates, and aunts Pat Willoughby, Jane (Michael) Fowler and Frances West, all of Trenton; three nieces, Courtney, Tabitha and Rebecca Asher of Fort Oglethorpe; and several cousins.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 16, at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Smith and Rev. Joe Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Brown’s Gap Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Ryan Funeral Home and 3-4 p.m. Sunday at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Trenton.
