Helen Joyce Higdon, 78, of Bryant, died Monday, April 24, 2017. She had worked as a bus driver for Bryant Junior High and was a member of Hooker Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Dairl Higdon; infant son, Billy Dairl Higdon Jr.; parents, Bill and Lilly Mae Haswell Drew; stepdad, Bob White; grandparents, Odie and Mae Haswell; and great-grandmother, Cora Berry.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie L. Higdon (Manuel) Whited; son, Rickey Dairl (Sherry J. Smith) Higdon; brothers, Bud Drew and Floyd Earl Drew; four grandchildren, Robyn L. Higdon Byrum, John Ryan Higdon, Durand Whited and Darrell Whited; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m.EDT Thursday, April 27, in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Reggie Byrum officiating. Burial will follow in Hooker Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday 2-8 p.m. and Thursday 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
