Billy Joe Gass


Billy Joe Gass, 80, of Rising Fawn, died Friday, June 23, 2017. He was a self-employed logger. He loved to hunt and fish, and he was one of the last ginseng hunters.

Mr. Gass was preceded in death by his son, Karl Gass. Surviving include his two daughters, Connie (Joe) Cebulski of Newnan, Ga., and Kay Gass, Palmetto, Ga.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leroy Gass and Jimmy Gass; two sisters, Faye Olson Pinkard and Luedith Gass; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at 11 AM EDT Monday, June 26, at Head Springs Cemetery.
