Charles Kermitt Chastain, 83, of Flat Rock, Ala., died Friday, July 7, 2017. He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Full Gospel Community Church.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Willene Collis.
Survivors include his loving wife of eight years, Virginia Chastain; daughters, Sharion (Robert) Cook, Bryant, Ala.; Pamelia (Tim) Henderson, Marietta, Ga.; Doris (David) Welden and Teresia (Eddie) Johnson, Austell, Ga.; son, Donnie Smith, Grovetown, Ind.; brothers, Bobby “Bob” Chastain, Blue Ridge, Ga., and Ron Chastain, Powder Springs, Ga.
Funeral services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. EDT Sunday, July 9, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Floyd Kilgore officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held Sunday 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
