Glenda Evelyn Porter, 73, of Chattanooga, died Saturday, July 30, 2017. She was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lena West Downer; husband, Cotton Porter; grandson, Aaron Bernard Britt Jr.; and sister, June Bruce.
Survivors include her daughters, Regina (Aaron) Britt, Soddy Daisy, Tenn., and Jennifer (Travis) Carruth, Ringgold; sisters, Eloise Gass, Trenton, Carolyn Wooten, Flat Rock, Ala., and Norma McCoy, Chattanooga; brothers, Douglas Downer and Larry Downer, both of Flat Rock; grandchildren, Sgt. Ashley Britt, Alison and Arianna Britt, Summer and Brandon Carruth.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Aaron Britt officiating. Burial will follow in Payne’s Gap Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday 3-8 p.m. and Tuesday 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
