Chester Carrick

Chester Ray Carrick, 80, died Friday Aug. 11, 2017, surrounded by his family.

Chester was the son of Andrew J. and Marjorie Carrick. He is survived by his sister Marie, and joins his brothers James, Carl, and Larry. Chester was married to Evie Inez Carrick for 46 years. She preceded him in death in 2003.

He is survived by three sons, Stephen, Russell and Jason; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Chester was a military veteran and a retired employee of Combustion Engineering. He was an ardent fan of the Lookouts of UTC and local high school sports teams. He will be fondly remembered for his playful nature, genereous spirit and devotion to family, especially his loving attention to children.

A memorial service will be held at the South Cumberland Recreation Area near Monteagle, Tenn., at 4 p.m. CDT Sunday Aug. 13.
