Sallie M. Chapman, 88, of Lookout Valley, Tenn., died on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017. She was married to Milburn Chapman for 70 years and was a devoted homemaker. Mrs. Chapman was a member of the North Georgia Worship Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Essie Wooten Bridgeman; and daughter Carolyn S. Chapman.
Surviving include her husband, Milburn Chapman, of Lookout Valley; sons, Raymond H. (Linda) Chapman of Augusta, Ga., and Larry (Kayla) Chapman of Ooltewah, Tenn.; daughter Peggy (Jerry) Winn of Hixson, Tenn.; grandchildren, Sheila (David) Elmore, Tammy Timmerman, Kevin (Angela) Chapman, Sarah (Terry) Womack, Matthew (Ashley) Winn and Alexandria Chapman; seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Chapman’s family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga and NHC of Rossville for their loving care and compassion.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, in the chapel with Rev. Kevin Chapman and Rev. Nick Forshee officiating. Interment will follow in Fuller Cemetery. Family will receive friends 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Funeral Home.
