Donald “Don” Lee Nichols, 45, of Wildwood, formerly of Illinois, died as a result of a tragic car accident on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017. He was employed by Astec Industries of Chattanooga. Mr. Nichols was an excellent husband, father and brother who cared deeply for his family. He was a tattoo artist and was passionate about his work.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Newell; mother, Susan Nichols; aunt, Myrtle Gilland; grandmother, Lena Long; cousins Richie Baker and Matt Morrison.
Surviving include his loving wife, Shawn Nichols of Wildwood; sons, Evan and Preston Nichols; brother, Eric Nichols of Cottage Hills, Ill.; stepfather, Bob Wyatt; niece, Gabrielle Nichols; nephews, Austin and Wyatt Nichols; cousins, Misty (David) Barnes, Ayrain Barns, Justin Jett, Aaron Reed, Richie Reed and Mike Reed; aunts Clover Conley and Linda Morrison.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends for visitation from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, at Ryan Funeral Home.
