Kenneth Ray Parker



Kenneth Ray Parker, 90, of Rising Fawn, died at his home on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017. He was retired from Central Soya of Chattanooga after 30 years of dedicated service and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Trenton.

Mr Parker is preceded in death by his parents, Vinnie and Vester Parker, and sisters, Thelma “Tip” Shirley and Joyce Sweat.

Survivors include his wife of 73 years, LaRue Parker; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Frank Winans of Rising Fawn; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Mark and Kathy Winans of Ider, Ala.; brother, Vess Parker of Leesburg, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 546, Trenton, Georgia 30752.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, in the chapel with Rev. Billy Wallace and Rev. Wayne Winters officiating. Interment will follow in New Home Baptist Church Cemetery, Henagar, Ala. Family will receive friends 3-7 p.m. Monday and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, with no visitation on Tuesday.
