Neal Vann Jr.



Neal Henry Cornelius Vann Jr., 92, of Trenton, died Thursday morning, Oct. 5, 2017. He was retired from Advanced Intelligence Development in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., after 10 years of service. Mr. Vann was a veteran of the U.S. Army who had served in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of Rising Fawn Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth Ann Vann, and two sons, Johnny Vann and Burt Vann.

Surviving include son Neal (Ethel) Vann III of Owings, Md.; daughter Roxie Vann Pelliccia of Hollywood, Fla.; daughter Rosalie (Joe) Vann Newell of Taylors, S.C.; daughter Sandra Vann of Reddick, Fla.; stepson Bill Moore of Sanford, Fla.; stepson Patrick Poland of Margate, Fla.; stepson John Poland of Kansas City, Mo.; half-brother Kenny Vann; stepbrothers Norman Desha and Larry Desha; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Rising Fawn Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Crider officiating. Family will receive friends 1-3 p.m Sunday at the church. Interment will be private.
