James Larry Downer, 68, of Flat Rock, Ala., died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017. He was a self-employed plumber and a member of Higdon Free Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dixie and Adell Downer, and sisters June Bruce and Evelyn Porter
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Lagayla Downer; sisters Eloise Gass, Carolyn Wooten Boatner and Norma McCoy; brother Douglas Downer; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Edwin Spurgin officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Wednesday 3- 8 p.m. and Thursday 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
