Madeline Cason, 87, of Scottsboro, Ala., died today, Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017. She was a homemaker who enjoyed being with family, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by her daughters, Ann Higdon, Betty Steele and Jane (David Allen) McElhaney; sons, Loyd McElhaney, Earnest McElhaney and Artis McElhaney; sisters, Betty Connor and Margaret Reeves; brothers, Sam Cason and Robert Cason; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Monday, Dec. 4, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Billy Joe Connor and Pastor Dean Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday 4-8 p.m. and Monday 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
