Karen Gass



Karen D. Gass, 42, of Rising Fawn, lost her long and courageous battle with brain cancer this morning, Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017. Karen was a loving mother and wife who lived life to its fullest. She was a 1994 graduate of Northwest Georgia and worked as a surgical technician for Shire Facial Plastic Surgery in Chattanooga. She was a member of Hope Church in Trenton and she would remind us daily, “God’s Got This.”

She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jamie Gass.

Surviving include her loving husband of 24 years, Mark Gass; sons, Bailey and Christian “Bug” Gass; father and mother, Roy and Marilyn Wallin; sisters, Cynthia Wallin and Rachel (Eric) Nix; father-in-law, James Gass; brother-in-laws, Tim (Jennifer) Gass and Shane (Sandy) Gass; nieces, Addison Howard, Luca Nix, Taylor Gass, Alyssa Gass, Sophie Gass, Melissa Gass and Amanda Dillard; nephews, Luke Gass and Nick Gass; also other family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hope Church, PO Box 938, Trenton, GA 30752

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Trenton Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Cravatt officiating. Interment will be at the October Farms Divide Resting Place, 4308 Cloverdale Road, Rising Fawn.

Family will receive friends 4-9 p.m. Thursday and 4-9 p.m. Friday at Ryan Funeral Home and 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Trenton Baptist Church, both in Trenton.
