Susan Shivers Davis, 65, of Wildwood, died on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at CHI Memorial in Chattanooga. Susan was born in Griffin, Ga., on July 19, 1952, to the late Lanier and Barbara Shivers. She was a graduate of Griffin High School, class of 1970, and then graduated summa cum laude from Mercer University in Macon, Ga., in 1974. Mrs. Davis retired from Norfolk Southern and had previously taught school.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Davis.
Surviving include her daughter, Anna Jo (Jeremy) Auerbach; sisters, Jennifer (Lucian) Tatum and Natalie ( Doug) Litavec; brother, Matt (Wendy) Shivers; nieces and nephews, Colby Shivers, Kyle Shivers, Bianca Litavec, John Litavec and Elizabeth Litavec; sister-in-law, Debra Davis; stepchildren, Stacey Davis Furniss, Frank III (Susan) Davis, Keith (Jessica) Davis; step-grandchildren Sloan and Thomas Hollis, Blake Graham, Drew Ferniss, Braxton and Bryce Davis and Nick Smith; step-great-grandchildren David and Walker Hollis.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17, at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 864 Piney Road, Trenton, with Rev. John Smith officiating. Family will receive friends 2-3 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
