Linda Powell Blevins, 70, of Rising Fawn, died early Saturday morning, Dec. 16, 2017. She had retired from the Dade County Board of Education after 33 years of dedicated service. Mrs. Blevins was of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Christine Powell; grandson Dakotha Blevins; brother Donald Wayne Powell; and sisters Brenda Hatmaker and Jackie Sue Morgan.
Surviving include her son David (Carol) Blevins of Trenton; daughter Tammy (Daniel) Daugherty of Trenton; son Scotty (Deanna) Blevins of Rising Fawn; four grandchildren, Madison Daugherty, Nikki Watts, Lashe Blevins and Jediah Blevins; sisters Wanda Williams, Glenda Marler and Patsy Gatlin; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mrs. Blevins' life will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at Ryan Funeral Home with Bro. Bufford Hartline officiating.
Family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Monday.
