Peggie Sue Bauer



Peggie Sue Bauer, 84, of Trenton, died Saturday, January 6, 2018. Born to Ray and Clara Pender on November 8, 1933, she graduated from Central High School in Missouri. She married Roy Bauer September 4, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She worked many years for the State of Illinois Department of Mental Health. Peggy had lived in Dade County several years and was a member of The Church of the Nazarene. She attended Trenton Bible Missionary Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by four brothers, Richard, Robert, Dean and Gerald Pender.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Virginia Bauer of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter Debbie Bauer of Trenton; daughter and son-in-law, Pennie and Mike Lawson of Trenton; brother, Gary Pender of Greenville, S.C.; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Jan. 10, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Bauer officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Gap Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
