Mary Cross Hoosier

Mary Cross Hoosier, 90, of Wildwood, left this very brief portion of eternity to be with her creator and her parents, siblings and friends who passed on before her. All people who she shared her heart with could feel the Holy Spirit reaching them through the conduit that she was.

Born January 30th to Clarence Wesley “Shine” and Lettye Wilson Cross, Mary Hoosier was a lifelong resident of Wildwood and a dedicated homemaker. She was smart, funny, gracious, ahead of her time, possessed a magical green thumb, and always had a great attitude about life.

Surviving include her children C. Brian Smith of Wildwood, GA and Marianne Hoosier of Solootna, AK; grandchildren Anna Ruth Mancuso and Ivan Johnson; great-grandchildren Amilia, Ella Ruth and Sofia Mancuso; her diamond friends Phyllis Powell and Breely Buchanan; several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the caregivers at Woodhaven and Homestead Hospice for their dedication and care.

Interment services will be held 12:30 PM Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 17th from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will conclude with a brief celebration service at the Ryan Funeral Home in Trenton, GA.
