Angla Hicks Dickerson



Angla Hicks Dickerson, “Mrs. Magoo,” 62, of Trenton, died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at her home. She was a member of the New England Seventh-day Adventist Church from a very young age.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Betty Raines Hicks, and mother- and father-in-law, Hilda Kilgore and William David Dickerson; sisters Elizabeth Frazier, Robin Lee Hicks and Merry Melody Hicks; brother Kenneth Hicks; half-brothers James Hicks and Clyde Hicks; and half-sisters Oprah Hicks and Elizabeth Hicks.

Surviving include her loving husband of 33 years, David Dickerson, Trenton AKA “Turbo Roscoe Magoo”; daughter, Samantha Lynn, Rossville; son, Samuel David Dickerson, Henegar, Ala.; six grandchildren, Darian, Arianna, Danny (DJ), Daniel, Adaien Lynn and Zachery Dickerson Lawson; sisters Rhonda Syble Jura, Wildwood, and Kathy Swafford, Rossville; brothers Hugh Jullian Hicks, Rossville, and Paul Ernest Hicks, Wildwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at New England Seventh-day Adventist Church, 330 Morgan Road, Trenton.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
