Doris Tatum


Doris Esther Tatum, 93, late of Trenton, died in San Antonio, Texas, on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Doris was a youth leader who had worked with Cub Scouts, and she was an avid tennis player. She had worked for Dyer Chevrolet and other dealerships and was Trenton city recorder for many years. She was a member of Trenton United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Tatum; parents, Thomas and Esther Williams; brother, Jessie Williams; and sister, Norma Carroll.

Survivors include her sons, John (Julie) Tatum, San Antonio, and Greg (Jennifer) Tatum, Statesboro, Ga.; two grandchildren, Sara (Arron) Harvey and Eric (Michelle) Tatum; and two great-grandchildren, Tristin and Sophia Tatum.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Son aturday, March 10, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Minister Reece Fauscett officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Friday 5-7 p.m. and Saturday 10-11 a.m.
