Clyde Burson

Clyde Lavon Burson, 70, of Flat Rock, Ala., died Friday, March 9, 2018. Son of the late Elmer Jackson and Edna Rae Burson, born Dec. 20, 1947, he was a 1967 graduate of Ider High School, a professional truck driver for Shaw Industries and a member of Pilgrim Home Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Jackie Annette Burson.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Carolyn Burson; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Gary Dabbs; son, Richard L. Burson; grandson, Ethan Burson; three sisters, Charlotte Lancaster, Maxine Chapman and Sharon Hartline; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were at 3 p.m. EDT on Sunday, March 11, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Tim White officiating. Burial was in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
