The Rev. Marville Barney Hurst, 85, of Trenton, died today, Monday, March 12, 2018. He pastored North Lake City Church of God for 21years and was a pastor for over 60 years. His greatest joy was to lead souls to Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Jean Goins Hurst; son Timothy Darwin Hurst; parents, Lloyd and Myrtle Hurst; and nephew Jack Hurst.
Survivors include his daughter, Marva Hurst, and son Anthony (Tony) Hurst; grandchildren Heather Lewis, Rachael Hurst, Rebecca Hurst, Justin Hurst and Brandon Hurst; several great-grandchildren; twin brother, Arville Franklin Hurst, and wife Peggy Hurst; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. EDT Friday, March 16, in the Trenton chapel with Rev. Carl Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Shantytown Cemetery, Trenton.
Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 p.m. and Friday 10-11 a.m.
