Clyde Antoinette Bell Whiting, 94, of Bryant, Ala., died Monday, March 19, 2018. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. She served her country as a nurse in the Army during WWII. Ms. Clyde was a member of Fish River Baptist Church in Fairhope, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Almur S. Whiting Jr.; son Van Dorne Sherer Whiting; grandson Jared Paul Zukunft; granddaughters Stephanie Whiting and Kelley Ann Whiting; sister Jacqueline Mitchell; and parents, Jesse O. and Lolita M. Bell.
Survivors include four daughters, Gay A. Whiting, Anne (David) Wank, Kayron (Wayne) Jones and Rebecca (Jeff) Jordan; three sons, Almur S. (Katie) Whiting III, David R. Whiting and Tim (Jet) Whiting; daughter-in-law Joni Whiting; two sisters, Ruth Yeager and Lolita Burkett; 28 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
A celebration of life service with full military honors will be held at 2 p.m. CDT on Saturday, April 14, at Fish River Baptist Church in Fairhope with Brother Terry Blair officiating.
